Update
I wasnt at the hospital long today. I went to HealthSouth rehab this AM and FINR this afternoon. These are the two places I am looking at for rehab. They are both very nice although I prefer FINR. Christie was in bed when I arrived. She was on a bright purple egg crate mattress. I was thinking that she wouldnt appreciate the color since it was girly. Richard went down and had a swallow eval today to see if he could swallow liquids. I guess their thought is they could let him drink liquids while his jaw is healing. Anyway, he failed it. He had white chalky stuff all over his mouth from the test. I told him he failed the test because he couldnt swallow the barium. He laughed at me and said it tasted like s@*^! I had to leave so thats about all I know from today. But Ill be there all day tomorrow.

i was there today and she looked great i was with her till 7:45 and then we left im so glad shes out of icu i can see her anytime i want now!! ^.^ so yea they are still in my prayers!! gws christie and richard!!
Hi my name is Mary Hudson. I know how busy Angie is with trying to take care of all the arrangements for Richard, plus all else that she has to do.I'm so grateful that she is there to take care of Christie and Richard until we can get Christie home.
I'm trying not to call anymore then I have to so she will have more time to do what she needs to get done.
Angie, I'm not sure if you are aware of this either but Becky had
an update on Christie today and it is great news for us and I'm sure for the rest of the family. A friend put the phone up to Christie's ear so Becky could talk to her. Becky told Christie she was working on getting her home as soon as she could and the friend said she gave her mom a thumb and two fingers up. When Becky told Christie to remember that two of their favorite programs were on TV tonight and called the names of them Christie gave her another thumbs up. They watch the programs together by phone when Christie's down there with her dad and something must have clicked in there for her to give her the thumbs up. ALSO, the friend was rubbing lotion on her feet and Christie moved her foot. The friend asked Becky if Christie was ticklish and Beck said "Oh Yeah"
Also, thanks John for your best wishes for our up-coming bake sale. Keep praying that we can get Christie home before she comes out of the coma and realizes her Mom isn't able to be there with her.
I hope everything is ok. There ws no info on Richard and Christe yesterday or today. Plez, plez, as soon as you can post something and let us know how their doing.

Angie, Please do not allow anyone to discourage you from keeping this update up. There are alot of us that really want to know what is happening with Richard and Christie. Our prayers are with you and them. God Bless. Geneva
