Today is Wednesday. I had school all day and was unable to visit them. I called to check on them this AM but everyone was too busy to talk to me. Now lets back up to yesterday. I was there most of the day. I didnt get home from the hospital until midnight and I was exhausted so I went to bed and forgot to blog. Christie rested comfortably. I think they got her up and put her in a chair. Its good for the lungs. She is still on the purple cushion which, now that I talked to Becky, isnt such a bad color. Its pink she hates! I was in and out of her room most of the day. Her right eye is almost completely open at times, but she isnt focusing or moving her eyeball around. I actually thought she moved both of her legs around and I was excited. Then I realized that it was just the compression hose blowing up under the sheets. It bursted my bubble! :(
Richard slept most of the day. He awoke in the evening and opened his mouth wide open. Philip noticed it and I summoned the nurse who told me they unwired his jaw today (Tuesday). His speech was very confused all night. He wasnt making much sense. Most of our other comversations were about 80% sensable and about 20% weird. Tuesday it was the opposite. He kept calling everyone Frank. He thinks I work at the hospital and Philip also. I thinks thats because we are wearing gowns/masks. He still tries to talk like his mouth is wired shut. We told him he could move his mouth and even demonstrated some words. He would then speak clearly a couple of times and revert back to talking with his mouth shut. We constantly had to remind him. He said it was nice to have visitors because noone had visited yet. I told him Ive been there everyday and he said he's never seen me before. He again was fascinated with the red nurse button. He said he always presses it and noone comes to help (kind of concerned me) but I explained that he presses so much they think he is playing so noone comes. During this conversation he pressed it atleast 4 times. He doesnt understand the concept so they took it from him (again concerns me). We stayed really late because evertime we tried to leave, he said please dont go. We finally convinced him to go to bed. I called Mom so she could tell him goodnight and he kept calling her Frank also. He said I'll see you Friday Frank (thats when she is coming). Still no word on rehab centers yet. Also they planned on removing Richards trach today (wednesday) but I dont know if they did yet.
Also, Im sorry I dont write as much about Christie. There has been not much change to report whereas with Richard there is. Thats why. :)

That's geting better each day. I plan on going to the family fun day. School has sent flyers all over the school. from what I have seen not that many people have stoped to read it, but you will never know. I have to ask something, really two things. One is going to make me sound selfish the other is just something my mother wants me to ask. First I lent my gamecrad to Christie and my little brother would like it back, and i was asking if you could get a red/clear crad like thing in her PS2. the other thing is that if it would be ok to go see Christie. It has been paining me to go see her myself. I do not want to see the pictures a friend had taken when he went to see her.
Hey its Philip... iv'e been on every day reading scince you told me about the website... =) I cant wait until i get to see him talking to me. I think it will be very funny when he calls me frank!
I hope Richard and Christie get BETTER ....

Neko,
This is Becky, Christie's Mom. I can't say anything about the game card. I couldn't get in her house while I was there. Maybe Angie could get it for you. As for visiting Christie, I think she would like that. I am making arrangements to bring her home, so you may want to visit soon if you are wanting to see her.
Becky
Neko,
When the courts allow me in their house I will get your game thing. Just bear with me, I dont know when that will be.
Angie
