Lee Memorial

We spent a little time with Christie this AM. The nurse says she has really bad pnuemonia they are trying to fix. She is getting breathing treatments several times a day assisted by something similiar to a ventilator. She is breathing on her own but not able to take a deep enough breath to get the meds where they need to go. She did, again, move her head from side to side (slowly). Philip and Lee were with me and saw it too so its not my imagination.
Richard again spent the night at MMH but late this afternoon was transported back to FINR. His CT of his head was okay. It was done because while he was at MMH he decided to go for a walk (or so he thought) and fell and hit his head. After that he was restrained by a posey (a shirt that ties you to the bed) which he didnt like. I havent spoke to FINR but they called me earlier and said he was on his way back to them. And MMH told me he ate his first meal last night (soft food only)!

Aaron, Courtney, and I were at the hospital on Friday, and Christie moved her head for us as well. She was wearing a cap that Lee put on her. It looked cute on her. We will be back this week. You all are still in our thoughts and prayers. Paula

So many of you have called the house and asked at church about Christie and if everything is OK. I'm sure things with Richard are pretty much the same. Angie and Philip are on a much needed vacation at Universal Studios for a few days and when they get home Angie will be able to update everyone on Richard.
Becky has been told that Christie looks good and is moving her head and her hands some. They said she was following people around the room with her eyes. So that's a good thing. She will be going to FINR before too long so she can get started on her much needed rehab. I'm not sure what stage her pneumonia is in but do know they had to increase her oxygen a little so she could rest without having to struggle so much to breathe. She is still breathing on her own, just needing a little extra help. God is going to bring her through this. I can't wait until she gets home. Thank you all for caring and helping us pray for Richard and Christie. Look at the miracles that have already been done in both of their lives.
Keep praying and keep checking in.
